This discourse continues from the first part, The Mind of the Soul: The Nature of the Mind, where we explored the foundation of the mind and its role in guiding the soul. Having established that understanding, we now turn to how the mind of the soul expresses its creative power and how that power unfolds within our lives.
From the mind of the soul arises the power of creation, and this is the spiritual force inherent within it. That force expresses itself through thought. Thought is action in its initial form, the seed from which all creation begins. Thought is energy, and like all energy, it carries a vibration, which reflects an attitude or a perspective. Every creation begins with thought, but thought alone is not enough. It must be brought into clarity through visualization, where we consciously see and experience that which we are creating as though it exists before us. While sustained thought sets creation in motion, what often comes into our lives is the opportunity to bring that creation into manifestation. It is then through our actions, guided by discernment, that we participate in its unfoldment.
As this visualization is sustained, the creation becomes actualized. It then must be vitalized, where we give that creation purpose by directing our energy toward it, taking advantage of what we are creating in a way that serves our growth and unfolds the wisdom of the soul. Through this process, what has been thought, visualized, actualized, and vitalized is brought into manifestation within our lives.
For example, when something comes into our lives, whether an opportunity, a challenge, or an unexpected circumstance, the question becomes what we will do with it. It is through discernment that we recognize its value and determine our response. We can ignore it, resist it, or react to it without awareness, and in doing so limit its value. Or we can choose to meet it with understanding and intention, using it as a means for growth. It is not simply the appearance of the situation that matters, but the purpose we give it, and the way in which we choose to respond.
Likewise, if we face a challenge and our thoughts are rooted in fear or despair, we can create conditions that limit our growth. For example, an illness such as cancer can be more difficult to face when we are focused on negative thinking. Yet when that same circumstance is approached with hope and a conscious effort toward healing, we begin to create conditions that are more conducive to recovery. Individuals have used meditation as well as visualizations as positive choices. How we vitalize a creation, and the purpose we give it, determines whether it becomes an opportunity for growth and unfoldment.
However, this manifestation can only be sustained if it is in alignment with what the soul deems for us to have. If it is not, no matter how strongly it is pursued, it will not fully take hold or endure within our lives. For example, we may desire a particular path, such as becoming an artist. Yet if it is not aligned with the direction of the soul, we may find that our efforts do not fully take root or may not be sustainable. In this way, what we create is not only what comes into our lives, but how we come to experience and grow through it.
By looking upon the past with understanding and being fully present in this moment, we begin to shape the future that unfolds before us. An awareness of what has been gives us understanding of how we arrived where we are, and the choices we make today determine where we will be tomorrow. Each thought we hold, each choice we make, becomes part of that unfolding. Do not deny the soul the opportunity to prosper. Allow the wisdom of the soul to guide you in the choices you make today, so that what is brought into manifestation tomorrow is vitalized in wisdom and in light, and through it, the greater expression of the soul may unfold.
Go in light and grow in peace.
