by Master Anthropis
This beautiful and profound teaching by Master Anthropis speaks to one of the most enduring questions of the spiritual journey.
“I desired a purpose one day, and I sat in a quiet reverie of a darkened space in the shadowed valleys of my own mind and sent out a call for that purpose to come.
That vibration that once penetrated my very soul, expelled itself unto the universe, grasping a hold of not one purpose but many and brought back to me a choice.
I sat in a quiet reverie of the shadowed valleys of my own mind, now with the purpose that I had so long desired. However, I did not realize that that purpose would be decision.”
One of the first questions a spiritual seeker asks is, “What is my purpose?” As we grow spiritually, we approach this question in many ways, often through meditation and inward reflection. As Master Anthropis so poetically expresses, that search leads us into the shadowed valleys of our own minds, where not one purpose appears, but many, each presenting us with a choice.
When these possibilities are held within our consciousness, and we contemplate the many paths before us, the greatest revelation of all emerges: that of decision. No matter how many purposes appear, it is decision that gives them form.
Regardless of the stage of consciousness we have attained, we are always brought back to this simple yet profound act. Perhaps no lecture has so eloquently and concisely captured this task that encompasses every level of conscious growth and development. Whether on the physical plane or within the higher astral realms, the purposes we express are the result of the decisions we make. Ultimately, we reach these decisions when we practice discernment and give expression to the inner wisdom of the soul.
Grow in peace and grow in light.
